Re Pominville's extension:

First of all, great to see the Wild get the main spot on hockeybuzz.com. Finally, our team is starting to become relevant. Although, I do not think this will be their year. Good to see them commit to Pominville who was really in the driver's seat on this one as Fletcher and the front office could not afford to not lock him up after what they gave up to get him at the trade deadline. But, just signing Pommer is only half the equation. The other half will be whether Vanek decides to join the Wild as a free agent and/or if the Wild and Buffalo deal again before or at the trade deadline. If Pomminville means the Wild also get Vanek, then I think that everyone that thought Chuck Fletcher was crazy for what he gave up to get him will be shown that if he is crazy, it's crazy like a fox. Especially if Pominville/Vanek are his encore to getting Parise/Suter! Go Wild!!!!!!

Nino has played very steady consistent hockey and as result made the team. He has been playing it safe IMO not stepping out of the system which has been interesting to watch considering the history of this kid. I think Wild fans will love this kid because he is everything the Wild has lacked in their young players. I think we will see him break out of his shell once he trusts that the coaching staff is bought in. Which line he plays on will be major factor in his role. He looks like he might get first chance at locking down 2nd Line winger spot with Heatley and Coyle which a very physical but skilled line!
